Hi, I’m Mayssam, the heart behind MKunstraum.
Architect, artist, and mama.

Art has been part of me since childhood, a way to express, explore, and escape. Later, I studied architecture, where creativity became my anchor, shaping how I think, feel, and see the world. Design, symbolism, and structure found a place in my hands and mind.

After graduating, I faced the world during a global pandemic. I began my Master’s degree in Germany, first online, then on campus. Even in the midst of academic work, I felt something missing: the freedom of creating with my hands, just for the joy of it. So I picked up a brush again, and my artistic voice began to return.

I started sharing my work online. Slowly, people connected to it, they wanted to see more, to own pieces of what I created. What began as a side passion turned into something deeper: a calling.

In July 2021, I moved to Germany. I completed my Master’s degree, learned German up to C1, pursued further training in Art and Architecture, and built a new life, first with my husband, and since September 2024, with our daughter Sophia.

Today, I work as an architect while continuing to grow my art, a balance between structure and emotion, precision and freedom.

During my Elternzeit (maternity leave) in 2024–2025, I reconnected deeply to my artistic soul. My daughter Sophia became my greatest inspiration and strongest motivation. Together, we explored textures, colors, and stories, and from that, MKunstraum was born.

MKunstraum is more than an art space. It’s where my journey as an architect, mother, and artist merges. My architectural background gives my work clarity and structure. My soul brings emotion and texture. I often work with clay, symbols, and layers, building stories that speak to identity, emotion, and transformation.

Today, MKunstraum is also opening its doors to collaborating artists, independent voices whose works carry depth, craft, and meaning. Through curated profiles, direct sales, and shared visibility, MKunstraum becomes a space where my creations and those of fellow artists stand side by side. Together, we are building a community rooted in authenticity, emotion, and connection.

Beyond my larger canvases, I also create symbolic clay pieces, handmade gemstone jewelry, and hand-painted bags, intimate, emotional works that carry meaning and connection. Each piece is part of my creative language, telling its own story.

This space is dedicated to my daughter, my husband, and my big family in Lebanon.
It officially launches on 19.09, Sophia’s birthday, the day that changed everything.

Hallo, ich bin Mayssam, das Herz hinter MKunstraum.
Architektin, Künstlerin und Mama.

Kunst begleitet mich seit meiner Kindheit, sie war für mich immer ein Weg, mich auszudrücken, zu erkunden und manchmal auch zu entfliehen. Später habe ich Architektur studiert, wo Kreativität zu meinem Anker wurde und mein Denken, Fühlen und Sehen prägte. Gestaltung, Symbolik und Struktur fanden ihren Platz in meinen Händen und Gedanken.

Nach meinem Abschluss erlebte ich, wie viele, eine Welt im Ausnahmezustand. Während der Pandemie begann ich mein Masterstudium in Deutschland, zunächst online, dann vor Ort. Trotz aller akademischen Herausforderungen spürte ich, dass mir etwas fehlte: das freie, intuitive Schaffen mit den Händen. Also griff ich wieder zum Pinsel, und meine künstlerische Stimme kehrte zurück.

Ich begann, meine Arbeiten online zu teilen. Stück für Stück fanden sie Anklang, Menschen wollten mehr sehen, wollten ein Teil davon besitzen. Was als kleine Nebenleidenschaft begann, entwickelte sich zu einem inneren Ruf.

Im Juli 2021 zog ich nach Deutschland. Ich beendete mein Masterstudium, absolvierte einen C1-Deutschkurs, machte weitere Weiterbildungen im Bereich Kunst und Architektur, und baute mir hier ein neues Leben auf. Zuerst mit meinem Mann, dann mit der Geburt meiner Tochter Sophia im 19 September 2024, unserem größten Geschenk.

Heute arbeite ich als Architektin und entwickle gleichzeitig meine Kunst weiter, ein Balanceakt zwischen Struktur und Gefühl, Präzision und Freiheit.

Während meiner Elternzeit 2024-2025 fand ich vollständig zu meiner künstlerischen Seele zurück. Sophia wurde zu meiner größten Inspiration und Motivation. Gemeinsam erkundeten wir Farben, Formen, Materialien und Emotionen, daraus entstand MKunstraum.

MKunstraum ist mehr als ein Kunstprojekt, es ist ein Raum, in dem sich mein Werdegang als Architektin, Mutter und Künstlerin vereint. Mein architektonischer Hintergrund gibt meinen Arbeiten Klarheit und Struktur, mein Herz gibt ihnen Tiefe, Emotion und Textur. Ich arbeite oft mit Ton, Symbolen und Schichten, und erzähle damit Geschichten über Identität, Wandel und Gefühl.

Heute öffnet MKunstraum auch seine Türen für Kooperationskünstler:innen, unabhängige Stimmen, deren Werke Tiefe, Handwerk und Bedeutung tragen. Durch kuratierte Profile, direkten Verkauf und geteilte Sichtbarkeit wird MKunstraum zu einem Ort, an dem meine eigenen Arbeiten und die Werke anderer Künstler:innen Seite an Seite stehen. Gemeinsam bauen wir eine Gemeinschaft auf, die auf Authentizität, Emotion und Verbindung gründet.

Neben meinen großen Leinwandarbeiten entstehen auch symbolhafte Tonstücke, handgemachter Schmuck aus Natursteinen und bemalte Taschen, kleine, greifbare Kunstwerke voller Gefühl und Bedeutung. Sie sind Teil meiner kreativen Sprache, in der jedes Stück eine eigene Geschichte erzählt.

Dieser Raum ist meiner Tochter gewidmet, meinem Mann und meiner großen Familie im Libanon. Die Website startet am 19.09. Sophias Geburtstag, der Tag, der alles verändert hat.
